General Principles

The HERMES Consortium is unanimous in its decision to function on the principles of equality and democracy. It has therefore ensured that, while the Coordinator and the Co-coordinator share the responsibility of running the project, all partners will be active in its management, participating at least once in one of the committees. Thus, the Management Group consists of all the representatives of the Universities involved in the project.

The implementation of the project will involve two committees: the Selection Committee and the Quality Assessment Committee. The two coordinators will be permanent members of both.

The designing and the implementation of the project is based on mutual trust among all the partners.

COORDINATION

COORDINATOR

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA) is responsible for the general management of the project. Among other things, this means that it is responsible for distributing the project funds to partners and grantees, for ensuring the visibility of the project and for maintaining communication with the partners and the EACEA, to which it will submit all the necessary reports.

All its activities have been and will continue to be carried out in close cooperation with the Joint Coordinator.

CO-COORDINATOR (JOINT COORDINATOR)

The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) cooperates with UoA in all actions involved in the implementation of the project and has the responsibility of coordinating the representatives of the Third Countries HEIs involved in HERMES.

SELECTION COMMITTEE

The Selection Committee, which will be responsible for the final selection of the successful applicants, will consist of the two coordinators (permanent members) and two representatives of each group of countries (EU and non-EU), who will rotate.

QUALITY ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE

The Quality Assessment Committee will be responsible for the constant evaluation of the project and will consist of the two coordinators and two other partners, all of whom will be permanent members, plus one additional partner on a rotational basis.
